This Week at Brave Tide
Ground Search for Ruby
The search for Ruby the lost Greyhound continues. The Brave Tide Foundation is pleased to collaborate with the search organizers to accept donations to fund the ground search efforts. Funds donated through our PayPal page and through the mail will go directly to funding a professional ground search team. Aerial Search Update
The conditions were perfect for an aerial search today – blue skies and good visibility. We searched over 100 square miles from the air but did not see Ruby. We did see many ground volunteers helping with the search. When Ruby is spotted again, Brave Tide volunteers will be ready to assist with the effort to bring her home. A big thank you goes out to everyone who helped with the search!
Search Efforts Continue
The Brave Tide Foundation has been working to assist in the search efforts for Ruby, a missing greyhound in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, area. On Saturday, Brave Tide pilots set to the skies to conduct an aerial search of the land where Ruby may be located. Unfortunately, Mother Nature was uncooperative, and due to heavy fogs, the flight was postponed. Ruby’s owners and a number of dedicated volunteers continued their ground search. The aerial search has been rescheduled for Saturday, January 19, at 10 AM. A local news station spoke with Ruby’s owners and reported on the search efforts during Saturday evening’s broadcast. Our Goals for 2013
Brave Tide is looking forward to a wonderful 2013. We are actively seeking donations to fund our core focus areas – animal rescue and relocation, emergency preparedness and recovery, and educational programs. 100% of donations are used for foundation activities and are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Our goal for 2013 is to raise enough capital to conduct 2-3 flights per month. We will be rolling out a “sponsor a flight” program to provide donors with the opportunity to sponsor animal rescue or emergency supply deployment flights. Our Missions page contains more information about upcoming activities and specific funding needs.

The Brave Tide Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization committed to strategic humanitarian efforts including: rescue and relocation of animals that are abandoned, neglected, or otherwise in need; emergency preparedness and recovery; and financial aid to support educational programs for economically disadvantaged individuals. The foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and animals using a broad range of services. The corporation goals are:
- Create partnerships with corporations, animal shelters, adoption agencies, and other non-profit humanitarian organizations.
- Develop air and ground transportation networks to safely and efficiently transport volunteers, animals, resources, and supplies.
- Establish short and long-term funding sources to generate working capital for Brave Tide Foundation, Inc. initiatives.
